Legends of Circumstance – Bargate Photo’s
Thanks to Kate Grenyer at aspace for these images.
Legends of Circumstance – Pete Lloyd and the Mushroom Band
Many thanks to Pete for this startling performance, it was perfect for the show.
In an ideal world this would have been filmed by a pro with a HD camcorder on a tripod. We used a point and shoot digital camera held by a man on a window ledge who needed the toilet.
Legends of Circumstance – Mr Solo
Was Southampton ready? Only time will tell…
A million thanks to Mr Solo for donning his cat suit and performing during the private view.

Gareth makes comics and we’ve been fans of his work for a long time. We’ll be including his genius ‘Can I Borrow Your Toilet’ and ‘The Smell of the Wild’ comics for your reading pleasure in the show. He’ll also be setting up shop at the Private View on the 12th of February, so bring along your pennies, meet the man himself and bag yourself a bargain.

The Bargate Monument Gallery is run by a space, an arts organisation that supports emerging artistic talent and enables the development of sustainable careers within the arts. The gallery is set in a 800-year-old monument standing in the heart of Southampton’s city centre. The Bargate was originally built as the main gateway to the medieval city and has held a number of important positions throughout its history. These include being the city’s guildhall (until the 1770’s) and the police headquarters during WW2 . It is now a fully functioning exhibition space in which we will be hanging Legends of Circumstance!
